ATELIER / PROFILE – Roland Nussio

I am Roland Nussio.

Trained at the School of Design Zurich. Stations with the Rutz Group and Kamtech/Norline Ag.
Today, I lead Nussio Kaminbautechnik – an atelier for fireplace construction, metal, and design.

I come from craftsmanship. From the silence of the workshop, the weight of material, the light of fire. Over time, it became more than work – it became an attitude. I learned that every detail demands consequence: the line, the weld, the surface that reflects the space around it.

With BOLID, I wanted to give fire a form worthy of its nature. Not decoration, not effect – but concentration. BOLID is the result of many years of work, observation, failure, and new beginnings. It stands for responsibility in design, for precision as culture,
for a quietness that carries weight.

I work for places with attitude – for architecture that thinks, for people who understand reduction and value permanence. Fire remains both origin and measure. It is the oldest element – and perhaps the most honest one.
